About

Hello! My name is Pratik Kumar Sahoo, and I am an intern at RAISE Lab under the MITACS Globalink Research Internship program. I am currently a final-year undergraduate student in Industrial Design at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India, where I am actively involved in developing autonomous navigation systems for ground vehicles. Additionally, I have experience with industrial robot arms and trajectory planning.

My passion lies at the intersection of robotics and AI, focusing on creating solutions that revolutionize industries and enhance lives. I am dedicated to exploring various ways to program and integrate robotic platforms and master industrial robots. At RAISE Lab, I will be working on integrating physical robots into virtual reality (VR) in more complex forms to enhance physical-social human-robot interaction (psHRI). I am eager to learn and collaborate with the talented team here, and to advance my understanding and skills in the field of robotics.

Outside of academics and research, I enjoy exploring new places, listening to music, cooking, and trying various cuisines. Curosity, games, anime, and coffee fuel my life :)
